This department is currently led by 11 SMOs and is accredited with ACEM for 12 months Advanced Training and Paediatric Log Book Training and has a successful training programme for both Part 1 and Part 2 trainees.
With a very competitive package based on your skills and expertise an ideal candidate would already posses considerable Emergency Department experience at SMO level with FACEM qualification highly desirable
With a sub-tropical climate there is a vast array of delicious fresh produce available locally, including top quality fruit and local wines. An ideal candidate would be first year post ACEM Fellowship; hold current NZ work rights AND current Vocational Registration in the scope of Emergency Medicine. Consideration may also be given to candidates who are eligible to obtain registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand through Locum tenens pathway holding either:
- Fellowship of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine
- Fellowship of the College of Emergency Medicine
- Certificate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine
- Certificate of the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine
