This is a role where General Practitioners can lend their expertise across two sites, the main clinic and the brand new outreach centre. Mondays and Fridays you will be working with the permanent GP within the main clinic and Tuesday to Thursday solo GPs will work alongside the Aboriginal Healthcare Workers, nursing and reception staff. Clinic hours are 8am - 5pm Monday - Thursday and Fridays close at 3pm, allowing for a long weekend to explore the area or even get home in time for dinner! The software utilised is Best Practice - making it the perfect locum to take on alongside your regular role.
Based in the picturesque and serene South Burnett Region. This region is well suited for anyone looking for a weekend vacation. With no-on call or weekend work required and early finish on Fridays, you will have plenty of time to properly explore the area. Some of the must-see activities include visiting the Kingaroy Observatory, art galleries and museums, vineyards or the lovely Pottique Lavender Farm. End off your weekend with a refreshing swim at Coomba Falls, a local watering hole perfect for those hot days.
To apply for this role, you must hold FRACGP, VR or equivalent qualifications; and General or Specialist registration with AHPRA. Experience in working within an Indigenous health setting is preferred, as is participation in cultural sensitivity training or other Indigenous Health GP training modules or CPD activities.
This is a role that will suit a GP who is keen to get in on the ground floor of developing their AMS experience - or looking for a regular return locum within a travelable distance from home.
