The opportunity

GPs who enjoy working in a community minded practice where you get quality time with your patients are sure to love this locum in the scenic riverside town in the Huon Valley.  You will join a dedicated team of other Doctors, nurses and administrators to provide high quality care in a purpose-built GP facility. The practice is open for booked appointments Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4.30pm with no weekends or on call requirements.

The mixed billing practice has an excellent rate on offer and is very flexible. Part time arrangements working 2-4 days per week or full time rosters available. Both short term and long term contracts are an option and flights, accommodation and car may be negotiated into your package. All applications are considered on a case by case basis so whether you want to pick up some extra work locally or want to book in dates for 2021 this is a great holiday destination and one locum you will want to take advantage of.

The location 

Only a 1 hour drive from Hobart, Geeveston is a small township nestled in the lower reaches of the scenic Huon Valley. It has a strong apple growing and forestry heritage and today caters for travellers exploring the nearby forests, Hartz Mountains National Park, and Picton and Huon rivers.

Essential criteria

To be successful in applying for this role you must hold FRACGP/FACRRM or VR Qualification, have a current registration with AHPRA, and full working rights in Australia.
