It is not very often that these roles become available so GPs will need to get in quick to secure dates in this well-organised and supportive clinic. As an accredited teaching facility the team provide a wide range of services to the community with booked appointments and walk-ins. The clinic operates Monday to Friday from 8.30am - 5.00pm with no after hours, no on call and no ED/Hospital work requirements. You will join a cohesive and supportive multi-disciplinary team including aboriginal health workers, nurses and GP all committed to improving the health and life expectancy of the community.
With ongoing needs for the next 6 months any blocks of coverage of 4 weeks or more will be considered . An ideal candidate would already have completed cultural awareness training or have prior experience working within an Aboriginal primary health care setting.
This large outback mining town is full of outstanding heritage significance to our First Nations People as well as early European settlers. This is a perfect base for exploring stunning national parks, cafes and more than 30 art galleries in the region.
• FACRRM/FRACGP or VR qualifications
• Previous experience in Indigenous Health
• Unrestricted AHPRA Registration
