A unique opportunity awaits a passionate VR GP to join a well-established practice in the Southern Flinders ranges of South Australia.
You will join an experienced practice support team including a practice manager, practice nurse and well-trained and friendly administration staff. This AGPAL accredited fully computerised practice is modern and well-equipped and is owned and maintained by Country Health SA.
The local hospital is a 20 bed facility providing accident and emergency services, acute care, medical, aged and palliative care. Visiting allied health professionals include podiatrists, physiotherapists, dietitians, diabetic educators and psychologists.
You will inherit an established patient base and there are substantial incentives available through the Commonwealth Funded GP Rural Incentives Program.
Located in Booleroo, 3 hours drive north of Adelaide, the Medical Practice serves a community of approximately 3,000 people in a geographic area including the nearby townships of Wirrabara, Melrose and Wilmington.
Commerce is predominately agriculture and supporting industries but the region is also a popular tourist destination.
This is rural living at its best with fresh air, a welcoming community and opportunities to experience the great outdoors including bushwalking and mountain biking nearby.
The area is well serviced with child care, the highly reputable district school (kindy to year 12), local shops, hotel, and sporting clubs. The closest regional centre is Port Pirie, less than 1 hour drive from Booleroo, offering excellent retail businesses, entertainment and dining.
The practice is situated on the Hospital grounds adjacent to a 5 day Pharmacy. The Medical Practice provides high quality healthcare to the communities within the District Council including the townships of Booleroo Centre, Melrose, Wirrabara and Wilmington.
You must be a highly professional, compassionate and knowledgeable VR GP (FRACGP or FACRRM) with recent emergency medicine experience and credentials. You will be required to service the local ED department on an on-call basis.
