The opportunity

Taking over from a well-established Doctor, you can expect to be popular and busy from from day one with friendly patients ready to book an appointment. You will be well supported by our experienced team of nurses and allied health specialists who support excellent management of chronic health issues.

The practice has facilities for eight doctors, two allied health rooms, on-site pathology and three treatment rooms – one equipped to enable small procedures to be performed. Further opportunity to contribute to the VMO roster is also available if so desired - with generous on-call allowance.

This primary care facility offers practitioners opportunities to be involved in medical education, research & professional development, and provide all the support that is needed to ensure this is a centre of excellence.

The location

Deniliquin is a charming rural town located in the Riverina region of New South Wales. Its plentiful water supply from the local river has made Deniliquin a prosperous agricultural town, its main outputs being rice, wool, and timber. The fertile riverlands yield excellent local produce, which can be sampled in the town’s plentiful wineries and excellent eateries.

As the largest town in the south-western Riverina, Deniliquin has offers great shopping and dining options, and for those interested in the history and culture of the area there is the District Historical Society Museum, and the Heritage Art Gallery. The pretty riverside location also makes it a great destination for anyone who enjoys water sports and fishing as well as land-based activities including walking, cycling, camping, and bird watching.

Essential criteria

You will need to be a Vocationally Registered General Practitioner (FRACGP or FACRRM) with prior experience in a rural setting. If you would like to help with the VMO roster at the local hospital, recent ED experience along with a current emergency medication certificate is also required.

This is a permanent / long-term opportunity (a fixed term 12 month minimum contract may be considered)
