The Opportunity

We're looking for Emergency Medicine Registrar Doctors PGY5 + to work nights in charge for The Wagga Wagga Health Service. Wagga provides a 24-hour accident and emergency and is a 325-bed referral hospital called Wagga Wagga Base Hospital.

There are various shifts available:

September:

Monday, 2^nd September until Sunday, 8^th September (finishing Monday, 9^th September) (7 nights)

November:

Monday, 4^th November until Sunday, 10^th November (finishing Monday, 11^th November) (7 nights)

Monday, 18^th November until Sunday, 24^th November (finishing Monday, 25^th November) (7 nights)

December:

Monday, 2^nd December until Sunday, 8^th December (finishing Monday, 9^th December) (7 nights)

Monday, 9^th December until Sunday, 15^th December (finishing Monday, 16^th December) (7 nights)

Monday, 16^th December until Sunday, 22^nd December (finishing Monday, 23^rd December) (7 nights)

Monday, 23^rd December until Sunday, 29^th December (finishing Monday, 30^th December) (7 nights)

Shift Times: 10:30pm – 8:30am

EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

Bed numbers: 16 acute and 3 resuscitation beds

Shift times and staffing levels:

• 0700 – 1700 2 Registrar + 1 RMO

• 0800 – 1800 2 FACEM + 1 Registrar + 1 RMO + 1 Intern

• 1400 – 2400 2 FACEM + 4 Registrar + 1 RMO + 1 Intern

• 2230 – 0830 2 Registrar + 1 RMO + 1 Intern + 1 FACEM on call

The Location

Wagga Wagga is a vibrant regional town located on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River. Popular with Emergency Medicine locum Doctors. Thriving with boutique wineries and a local brewery, along with a 22 acres of botanic gardens including a zoo and aviary.

Essential Criteria

To be eligible for this for this role, you must have General Registration with AHPRA.
