The Opportunity

We're looking for Emergency Medicine RMO locum Doctors for Broken Hill in NSW.

A popular locum location. The Hospital presents with 20% presentations that are paediatric cases. The Emergency Department is a designated Mental Health Facility and receives scheduled patients from the community.  Broken Hill Hospital operates as a referral hospital for various Level 1 and 2 remote health facilities and patients from these facilities are usually retrieved by RFDS aircraft.

Junior locum Doctors really enjoy working in the Far West of NSW. Broken Hill Hospital is the only hospital capable of receiving trauma cases in Far West NSW, however due to the limited services available for definitive care of significant trauma, most cases are retrieved to the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) or, if there are significant bed shortages in South Australia, to Westmead Hospital in Sydney.

There will be training for students and junior medical officers.

Night Shifts

2000-0600 Monday 8 July 2024 – Sunday 14 July 2024 (incl) PGY2+ non in-charge $150 p/hr

Day Shifts

0800-1800 Saturday 13 July 2024 – Wednesday 24 July 2024 (incl) PGY3+ non in-charge $160 p/hr

Afternoon Shifts

1200-2200 Monday 29 July 2024 – Wednesday 31 July 2024 (incl) PGY3+ non in-charge $180 p/hr
