The opportunity
This friendly practice is looking for a locum cover. The Practice covers 25 kms of coastal strip between the Tasman Sea and the Southern Alps most of which is a World Heritage National Park. Five clinics in the area are led by Rural Nurse Specialists supported by the visiting General Practitioners based in South Westland. Clientele includes farming communities, visitors and adventure tourists plus the tourist service industry.
The location
New Zealand’s West Coast is a remote area known for its friendliness, kiwi can-do and remarkable scenery. The wild Tasman Sea has created natural wonders such as the pancake rocks along this coast of rugged beaches. Beautiful red flowered rata forest covers the hills, and colonies of seals, penguins and other unique NZ wildlife dot the coast. There is plenty to explore here in the great little coastal towns that are full of history, and some of New Zealand’s most amazing national parks.
Essential criteria
