The Opportunity
You'll be an integral part of the clinical team providing essential healthcare services in Lightning Ridge. Working with other GPs and an excellent multi-disciplinary team you will find the team supportive and flexible. With a variety of GP sessions; ED cover; ward rounds and on call work all shared across the service we can ensure adequate rest periods. The multi-purpose service has 4 ED & 4 Acute beds, 1 respite bed and a 19 bed residential aged care service. The General Practice operates Monday to Friday and has mobile x-ray and visiting allied health specialists come to town.

Best described as a vibrant and colourful atmospheric town, Lightning Ridge is incomparable to other towns and is filled with some wildly eccentric experiences. Stop by and walk through an entire house made of glass bottle or uncover how a castle ended up in the outback of Australia! And beyond the weird and wonderful there are many more activities to enjoy, relax and unwind in the artesian bore baths and walk through underground galleries with the most amazing carved art walls.
Essential Criteria
You must be a vocationally registered GP (FRACGP or FACRRM) with recent rural emergency experience and a current ALS2 (or equivalent) certificate.
