The Position

We are seeking experienced GPs to provide culturally appropriate healthcare to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities on the Far South Coast of NSW. These full-time locum positions offer a Monday to Friday schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM, giving you the opportunity to explore the region’s stunning landscapes and pristine beaches on your weekends.

The clinics provide comprehensive general practice services alongside medical and dental care, supported by a range of allied health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. You will work with a dedicated team of GPs, nurses, and Aboriginal Health Workers, using Communicare software, with a minimum appointment time of 20 minutes. There are no emergency department duties, on-call requirements, or weekend work, allowing for a balanced and rewarding locum experience.

A stunning coastal town on the South Coast of NSW, Batemans Bay is known for its beautiful beaches, relaxed atmosphere, and vibrant community. It offers excellent medical facilities, a mild climate, and plenty of outdoor activities, making it a fantastic locum destination.

MM4 location. This location qualifies for additional financial incentives through the Workforce Incentive Program (WIP). Eligible GPs can receive significant financial support based on the area's classification. Essential criteria:

  • Holds specialist General Practitioner registration with AHPRA
  • Fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM
  • Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • Strong primary care experience in rural or remote settings, ideally in Indigenous health
  • Cultural awareness and understanding of the unique challenges facing remote Indigenous communities
