The Opportunity
This is an exciting chance for an experienced GP to provide primary health care services in a well-organised Aboriginal Health clinic in NSW. You will join a cohesive and supportive multi-disciplinary team including Aboriginal health workers, nurses, and GPs all committed to improving the health and life expectancy of the community. The diverse team also provides care to tourists and non-Aboriginal clients so your presentations may include walk-ins as well as booked appointments.
There are no after-hours, no on-call, and no ED/Hospital work requirements. You will be providing coverage Monday to Friday in the clinic only. During this period you may be required to work between 2 sites, both with excellent support and separated by a 200km drive (on a bitumen highway).
The location
This large outback mining town is full of outstanding heritage significance to our First Nations People as well as early European settlers. This is a perfect base for exploring stunning national parks, cafes, and more than 30 art galleries in the region.
Essential Criteria
- FACRRM/FRACGP or VR qualifications
- Previous Indigenous Health experience required
- Able to claim A1 medicare rebates
- Current Working with Children for NSW
