Locum VR GP Broken Hill

The Opportunity 

This multidisciplinary health service offers GP, imaging, allied health, ultrasound and x-ray services in one space. With full reception cover and support, you will be working alongside another doctor to provide services to a primarily elderly and adult population. Working from Monday to Friday between 08.30am – 17.00pm, there is no on call requirement. Paying $1500 per day, accommodation, flights and hire car are provided and you will be working with Best Practice software.

Appointment types include pre-employment medical assessments and WorkCover for the local mining industry, occasional Mental Health presentations with support of 3 onsite Psychologists and a high focus on preventative medicine for those with chronic disease. Roughly 25% of appointment would be to complete pre-employment medicals, though if not confident the only general appointments can also be booked.

The Location

This large outback mining town is full of outstanding heritage significance to our First Nations People as well as early European settlers. This is a perfect base for exploring stunning national parks, cafes and more than 30 art galleries in the region.

Essential criteria

To be eligible for this role you must have unrestricted AHPRA specialist registration, RACGP fellowship or equivalent and full working rights. Prior experience with pre-employment medicals and work cover is also required.
