The Opportunity
This group of 2 practices is urgently seeking additional support to work alongside their permanent GP's. Treating infants to elderly and everything in between, they offer 15-minute standard consultation times and use Genie as their software. Having been established for over 20 years, the clinics currently have 7 GP’s working on an ongoing basis and then are looking for the locum assistance in support. They can support 2 doctors working at the same time - either within the same clinic or across two clinics that are within easy reach of each other for those who wish to travel together.
Patients can access a wide range of services at one convenient location. This “one-stop shop” approach means better communication between doctors and the other health providers involved patient care. It also means patients have improved access to pathology and pharmacy services which are co-located within the building. There are dieticians, psychologists, physiotherapists and other allied health services, as well as the local hospital nearby.
In the larger clinic you will be working with 3-6 GP's whilst in the smaller clinic there are 1-2 GP's working.
The Location
This large outback mining town is full of outstanding heritage significance to our First Nations People as well as early European settlers. This is a perfect base for exploring stunning national parks, cafes and more than 30 art galleries in the region. Locally you can visit museums to learn about the history of the town, and its multi-national settlers, with the sculpture park set in the red earth and that offers fantastic views at sunrise and sunset, or step back in time in the retro milkshake parlour. Further afield you can take a trip to the underground town of White Cliffs, or visit the Menindee Lakes for a day trip.
Essential Criteria
To be eligible for this position you must have unrestricted, specialist registration with AHPRA & full Australian working rights.
