Locum VR GP - Hunter Valley Region

The Opportunity

This clinic is urgently looking additional support whilst a number of their doctors are on extended leave. It is a group practice whereby you would not be working solo across any of the days (unless you wanted to pick up a Saturday clinic) and hours of work are from 8.30am – 5pm with the daily rate of $1250 paid. The clinic then does stay open to 6pm so if you were open to an extra hour of cover they could pay a % of billings.

The clinic uses Best Practice software and offers 15 minute standard consultation times. There are the equivalent of 2 FTE nurses who assist with care plans plus 1.5FTE of nurses who assist with skin procedures, triage and vaccinations. With an elderly patient demographic care plans can be common, however, a full range of patients are seen and the population in the area is growing.

There is pathology and a chiropractor onsite plus plenty of other allied health and mental health services in the local area.

The Location

You’ll find all this just two hours from Sydney or 40min from Newcastle, on the banks of the picturesque Hunter River. Weekends can be spent unwinding and dining locally or taking day trips to the famous Hunter Valley, exploring the live music in Newcastle or soaking up the stunning central coastline.

Essential Criteria

You must have full working rights and be a VR GP with AHPRA specialist registration or equivalent.
