Locum VR GP - Southern Downs Regions

• $1700 paid daily plus flights, car and accommodation support
• Work alongside another GP and a highly experienced nurse
• Region with other clinics and a hospital facility

The Opportunity 

The clinic offers 15-minute standard consultation times and the working day is 8.30am – 17.15pm with a 45-minute lunch break. There is Best Practice software in use and the support of a highly experienced nurse who is very familiar with the local area and who helps out with things like care plans. Dependent on the dates you are available to assist, you will either work alongside the part-time GP who has been in the clinic for a number of years or you will be working alongside another locum doctor as well whilst that GP is on leave. With 2 units in the local area one has 2 bedrooms so could be suitable for a family whilst the other has 1 bedroom. 

They are paying $1700 per day and can provide flights and use of the practice car as well (helping with pick up from the airport). In this mixed-billing clinic a full age range or patients are seen and they require cover from the 28 Jan onwards.

The Location

This rural town is around 130km from Brisbane and within an easy drive from Toowoomba as well. Nestled on the banks of the Condamine River it is know as the Rose and Rodeo capital along with featuring some of the states finest sandstone building such as well-preserved churches, cottages, railway stations, schools and monuments – each with its own story of old.



Essential Criteria

To be elgible you must hold RACGP fellowship or equivalent along with AHPRA specialist registration as a General Practitioner and full working rights.
