Locum VR GP/On Call - Ochre Health Strahan

• $1520 per day or 65% of billings, dependent on which is greater across the week

The Opportunity 

Working across 2 clinics your week will be split to provide support in Zeehan on the Monday and then in Strahan across Tuesday to Friday each. The role also then involves 4 nights of GP assist on call which is telephone support only and which historically has been a quiet line. This on call is provided across Monday to Thursday evening. Although working solo you will have admin and some nursing support and feedback has been positive for both the location itself and how well run the clinic is as well. 

Best Practice software is in use and 15 minute standard consultation times offered. $1200 per day is paid for the clinic based worked and $400 per night of the GP assist on call cover, averaging a daily rate of $1520 or 65% of billings dependent on which is greater across the week.

The Location 

Strahan is a beautiful town located in the west coast of Tassie with charming water side views. It offers activities such as walks along the rugged coastline or the chance to jump aboard Spirit of the Wild and gently sail through the UNESCO Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area where you can see the untouched rainforest. Zeehan is 30 minutes drive away and was once the Silver City and has one of the best history museums in Tasmania.

Essential Criteria

To be successful in applying for this role you must hold FRACGP/FACRRM or VR Qualification, have a current Specialist registration with AHPRA, and full working rights in Australia.
