The opportunity

This practice is a modern purpose-built medical centre (2018). This is a great chance to relocate to a beautiful area and really redefine what a good work-life balance looks like. As an accredited rural medical training centre there are also teaching opportunities for interested candidates to provide mentorship to medical students.

The group practice provides excellent nursing/admin support and an onsite practice manager. A remuneration package will be tailored to your needs and can include a house and car if required and based on skills and expertise.

The location 

Located in a peaceful rural town, just inland off the coast and less than three hours from Christchurch. The old-style friendliness of residents is hugely appealing – with a small town that is large enough to still allow privacy and a life outside of work. Affordable property and excellent high-schooling and university options available nearby mean the area is becoming a popular place to live and work. 

This township is seeing many developments in the main street to enhance the Edwardian architecture and beautiful parks and gardens. Hunting, mountain biking, fishing and walking are all activities easily accessed. Lakes and camping are just up the road and skiing and mountaineering, and vineyard country is all within an easy 2-3 hours drive. 

Essential Criteria 

To apply for this position you must hold or be eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
