The Opportunity

The Murrumbidgee Local Health District provides a range of hospital and community health services. We are delighted to be working exclusively on opportunities for Emergency Medicine CMOs and GP VMOs at The Young Health Service for the ED and wards.

The Young Health Service is a 32-bed facility with 21 hospital care beds, 5 maternity beds and 6-day surgery chairs. It also includes a full range of community health services such as community nursing, allied health, and mental health services which are delivered by the local team who also provide outreach to surrounding communities.

The 24-hour Emergency Department is equipped with telehealth cameras to connect the team in Young with specialists through the Critical Care Advisory Service.

We have a FIFO roster where all travel and accommodation are provided. We are happy to negotiate long-term arrangements or short-term and ad-hoc locums with individual doctors. The current roster has two availabilities: first doctor 0700 - 1900 with the second doctor from 1900 for handover in the ED until 0700.
