Rewarding GP ED Locum Opportunities – Create unforgettable memories as you work your way around the Eyre Peninsula

Swap the crowds for the Eyre Peninsula's pristine landscapes, rich wildlife, and great seafood.

The Eyre and Far North Local Health Network in South Australia have exciting locum opportunities for General Practitioners with GP Specialist Qualifications (FRACGP and/or FACCRM), Emergency Medicine experience in a rural setting and current ASL2 (or equivalent - “RESP”).

All four hospitals (Cleve, Cowell, Kimba & Ceduna) are offering $2,640 per day with travel, car hire and accommodation provided.

If you’re looking to kick off 2025 with a locum adventure that will see you working in Hospitals in the Mid Eyre Region of SA and exploring the beautiful landscapes that surround them, I can work with you on experiences that you’ll find professionally rewarding and give you the chance to unwind and reinvigorate your senses.

Many of my regular locum doctors site South Australia as the perfect locum destination when looking for a change from the East or West Coasts of Australia. South Australia brings a fresh perspective, new energy and opportunities you may not have seen before. Whether it’s changing your environment, trying something different, or even shifting your mindset, change can be a powerful new catalyst for growth and renewal.

You can have it all in the Eyre Peninsula.

Whether you are into good food, wine, luxury accommodation, wildlife, aquatic activities, stunning landscapes, festivals, arts and culture scene.... there is something for everybody. The Eyre Peninsula is also Australia's major seafood hub. More than 65 percent of the nation's seafood comes from these waters, including green-lipped abalone, scallops, prawns, oysters and tuna, which you can enjoy at the region's many seafood restaurants. It's also a place of extreme natural beauty, with a multitude of landscapes and outdoor adventures on offer.

Cleve District Hospital

To get to Cleve, you’ll take a 40-minute flight from Adelaide to Port Lincoln, pick up your car then drive 1.5 hours to the small township in the heart of the Eyre Peninsula. Cleve Hospital has five inpatient beds, providing emergency, general medicine, post-surgical care, x-ray, rehabilitation and palliative care. There are also three aged care beds within the hospital. Community Health and Allied Health services are located in their own premises on the main street, next to the GP practice, and offer an extensive range of services in the community.
