The Opportunity

Grafton Base Hospital is a rural community hospital providing acute medical, surgical, orthopaedic, paediatric, anaesthetic, geriatric, obstetric and maternity, intensive and critical care, renal, oncology, palliative care, emergency, some specialist outpatient services and day surgery facilities to the people of the Clarence Valley. This busy ED is staffed by a highly qualified medical team of Career Medical Officers, Emergency Specialists, and Nursing staff providing care to patients of all ages with critical and acute illness.

The Location

Grafton lies at the heart of the Northern Rivers region just a stones throw from some of the most beautiful beaches in Australia. This is a historic town lined with glorious Victorian and Edwardian architecture, on the banks of the Clarence River. With the arrival of spring, this pocket of North Coast NSW becomes the most Instagrammable destination in the state as the more than 2,000 jacaranda trees that line streets turning the town an eye-popping shade of purple.
