ED CMO In Charge - INVERELL

• $15,120 per week + super
• Fly-in / Fly-out with travel and accommodation provided

The Opportunity

Inverell District Hospital is a 52-bed facility that provides services to the North-Western and New England communities of NSW. You will be the sole doctor in this Emergency Department which is equipped with telehealth cameras to connect the team to specialists through the Critical Care Advisory Service (CCAS). Consisting of 9 beds, 1 resuscitation bed, 1 consult room, 1 mental Safe Assessment room, 1 negative pressure isolation room, 1 procedure room, 3 open bay beds, and a paediatric bed, this newly rebuilt ED also has a fast-track facility onsite that manages the Category 4 & 5 cases, and sees between 30-40 presentations a day. All nursing staff also have First Line Emergency Care credentials.

This busy 24-hour emergency department is seeking an enthusiastic locum CMO in charge to assist with both day and night shifts with no on-call requirements, and we offer ongoing FIFO opportunities at this location.

Nestled in Northern NSW, Inverell is situated along the Macintyre River - not too far from the QLD border. Known as Sapphire City, this town is renowned for its proud pioneering history, beautiful buildings, and the production of many fine gemstones. Some direct flights available from Sydney and Brisbane, or fly into nearby Armidale with accommodation provided.

Essential Criteria

To be eligible for this position you must have ALS2, be comfortable working a a sole doctor and you must have full AHPRA registration and Australian working right, with extensive emergency experience.
