ED CMO - Mudgee

The Opportunity

With recent renovations, Mudgee Hospital now features a busy Emergency Department - with five treatment bays, a purpose-built resuscitation space, a safe assessment room, and an isolation room. The hospital also features 28 acute general medical and surgical beds, 8 dialysis chairs, 4 ambulatory care spaces, outpatient services ad community health, along with a 4-chair Oncology service and a Maternity unit.

We have an exceptional opportunity available for an experienced Emergency Doctor, CMO, or General Practitioner to work in partnership with Medical Directions / Ochre and NSW Health. This position is supported by local GPs for anaesthetics, obstetrics and back up ED and allows you to make a difference to the local community of Mudgee. Working week on/off enables doctors the flexibility to pursue or maintain other interests during their week off creating an effective life balance. The working week includes five, 10 hour shifts (8 am – 6 pm) with hospital on call (midnight – 6 am) Monday to Friday, and shared on call Saturday and Sunday.

Essential Criteria

To be eligible for this position, you must have

• Full AHPRA registration
• Australian working rights
• Extensive ED experience
• Suitable for FACEM, ED CMO or GP VMO.
