The Opportunity

Cooma Hospital and Health Service provides 24-hour accident and emergency and is a 20-bed facility with renal and oncology outpatient services. Seeking an experienced ED CMO to cover either days, afternoons or nights with either 8 or 10 hour shifts. Due to Cooma’s location and popular holiday destination, there are a significant amount of Ski and Mountain Bike related injuries ranging from aches and sprains to closed head injuries, chest, abdominal and vertebral trauma.

The Location

Set among rolling plains, legendary rivers and snow-covered peaks, Cooma is the largest town in the Snowy Mountains region and the gateway to the state’s alpine area. This rural town is the place to stop, enquire and discover the hidden gems of the Snowy Monaro region. Located a little over 4 hours' drive from Sydney, about 1 hour and 20 minutes from Canberra, and 1.5 hours from Bega, getting there couldn't be easier.
