The Opportunity
This locum opportunity is based at Bowen Hospital, a well-equipped rural hospital providing essential healthcare services to the Whitsundays region. The hospital operates a 24/7 Emergency Department that manages approximately 40 patient presentations each day, offering clinicians a varied and engaging caseload across a broad range of emergency and acute presentations. In addition to emergency care, the hospital provides acute inpatient services as well as specialised programs including oncology, renal dialysis, palliative care, and a range of allied health services. Working within this rural generalist environment offers the opportunity to develop a wide scope of clinical skills while collaborating with a supportive multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering quality care for the local community.
The Location
Located at the northern gateway to the stunning Whitsundays, the coastal town of Bowen is known for its relaxed lifestyle and spectacular natural beauty. Essential Criteria
To be eligible for this locum, you must have
- Australian working rights
- Full AHPRA registration
- PGY5+ with extensive ED experience
- ALS if applicable
