The Opportunity

We're looking for FACEM for Alice Springs Emergency Department

• Shift times:
• DE/DF = 0730 – 1700
• L = 1200 2100
• E = 1400 – 2400 and on call overnight
• $300 p/h

Alice Springs offer a unique experience in Aboriginal Health - practising high acuity medicine in a young population where 80% patients are Aboriginal. You will see rheumatic heart disease, bronchiectasis, chronic liver disease, overwhelming sepsis, high rates or renal disease and diabetes as well as significant trauma. 

Servicing an area of over 1 million km2 with around 50000 presentations a year with a 42% admission rate, median age of 34 years and 22% paediatric presentations.

The Location

The surrounding McDonnell Ranges are exquisitely beautiful, tall gum trees stand in the river beds, and we have blue cloudless skies almost every day. Camping, hiking, trail running, and mountain biking are very popular. It’s a vibrant bustling tourist town, with numerous social events to keep you busy.
