The opportunity 

Emergency Medicine Doctors, especially FACEM's, love to explore the North West area of Tasmania. The North West Regional Hospital at Burnie is a modern 160-bed facility providing high-quality health care and specialist services to North West Tasmania and King Island. It offers services in medical, surgical and allied health specialties through inpatient and outpatient departments. The hospital caters to emergency resuscitation, surgery and intensive care of most trauma patients and other medical conditions. 

The Emergency Department has an annual attendance rate of over 25,000 patients per year. Approximately 20% of these patients are admitted for further treatment and care.

Essential Criteria

To be eligible for this locum you must have working rights in Australia, specialist registration on AHPRA, and be a Fellow of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine.
