The Opportunity

This locum opportunity is based at Manning Base Hospital, a 180-bed rural referral hospital servicing communities across the Mid North Coast of New South Wales. The hospital’s busy Emergency Department manages more than 33,000 presentations each year, providing a diverse and rewarding clinical environment for Emergency clinicians. You will be working alongside a well-established and supportive team of VMOs, GPs, and JMOs who collaborate to deliver high-quality acute care across a broad range of emergency presentations. The hospital provides comprehensive general medical and surgical services and benefits from strong tertiary support, with specialist retrieval services available from John Hunter Hospital and Sydney Children's Hospital for more complex cases. This makes the Emergency Department a dynamic setting where clinicians can practice a wide scope of emergency medicine while being supported by regional and metropolitan referral networks.

The Location

This hospital is located in the historic regional centre of Taree, a picturesque town set along the banks of the Manning River on the Mid North Coast. The surrounding region is renowned for its beautiful natural landscapes and easy access to some of the state’s most stunning beaches, including One Mile Beach and the pristine coastal haven of Seal Rocks. • Full AHPRA Specialist registration
• Extensive ED experience
