The Position

This locum opportunity is based at Griffith Base Hospital, which provides a 24-hour Emergency Department with 15 treatment spaces and supports a broad range of emergency presentations across the Riverina region. The Emergency Department is backed by an on-site Intensive Care Unit and is equipped with advanced telehealth capabilities, allowing the clinical team to connect directly with specialists through the NSW Critical Care Advisory Service for additional support in complex or critical cases. This night position is suited to a PGY4 Emergency Department doctor, with the department typically seeing an average of 7–10 patients overnight. You will work with the support of an experienced in-charge CMO, ensuring strong senior guidance while gaining valuable exposure to rural emergency medicine in a well-supported clinical environment.

The ED is supported by an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and also equipped with telehealth cameras to connect the team in Griffith with specialists across the NSW Critical Care Advisory Service. An ED PGY4 is required for night position where there it averages 7-10 patients overnight with full support of an in charge CMO.
