The opportunity

This facility was rebuilt in 2014 with access to ICU, CCU and HDU alongside adult and paediatric inpatient services. They are now focusing on developing the Acute Medical workforce to deliver secondary specialist care. The current six physicians within the service have wide experience in acute medicine - with this fixed-term vacancy covering a team member who is currently completing a specialist training programme. 

This position will be of interest to Senior Medical Officers who are experienced in acute medicine including inpatient management of acute, palliative, and chronic diseases and who are looking to try a change of lifestyle and work environment.

Essential criteria

To apply for this role you must hold qualifications that meet the criteria for vocational registration or be eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand and F.R.A.C.S. or equivalent, in General and acute medicine
