The Opportunity:

Narrabri Hospital needs a GP ED locum to cover ongoing blocks from the end of Sep until the end of this year. GP ED will be working 12 hour shifts from 7am- 7pm. The locum is not required to be in the ED if there are no patients & staff will call the locum back as required during these hours. Dependent on the number of doctors we have at the time there may be a requirement to be second on call overnight. This will be utilised if ED numbers become overwhelming, multi-trauma or if the doctor first on call requires assistance. Should the locum admit a patient, they are responsible for that patient overnight not the doctor on call.

Located in Namoi Valley, Narrabri is known for its peak in Mount Kaputar National Park. Explore these beautiful mountains and take in its peaceful scenary. Canoe along Namoi River or camp and explore volcanic formations. Take in this town's right history on agriculture and colonial heritage.

 

Essential Criteria:

• Full Australian working rights & specialist registration on AHPRA.

• ALS2 or equivalent

• Experience in rural remote settings

• Recent Experience working in ED
