The Opportunity

Ochre Health Medical Centre Boggabri is a well-established mixed-billing practice that has been serving the community of Boggabri for a number of years and is the sole practice in town.. Our clinic is modern and fully equipped with the latest technology. We also support our doctors with CDM nurses, reception/admin staff and a practice manager at the clinic. 

In addition, at this location, we provide VMO services to the Boggabri Hospital. The Boggabri hospital has 12-bed nursing home, 4 acute and 12 long-stay beds with the nearest referral hospital being in Tamworth (pop. 65,000 people), which is only a 90-minute drive away.

The Location

Boggabri itself is a great location and has much to offer. It is home to one of the largest open-cut coal mines in Australia. This mine brings 600 workers to the area that already has a population of 900 people. Boggabri also features a nine-hole golf course, a Chinese restaurant, ‘The Vault’ fine dining, a bowling club, RSL Club, 2 primary schools (and a close-by high school). The Namoi River passes through Boggabri making fishing a popular activity as well. 

Essential Criteria

• AHPRA General Registration or Vocational Registration in General Practice
• Current ED skills 
• Consultative approach to medicine
