GP / Urgent Care | Caloundra, Queensland | Sunshine Coast Lifestyle & Urgent Care
About the Company: Ochre Health is a national leader in rural and regional medicine. At our newly established, state-supported Medicare Urgent Care Clinic in Caloundra, we pride ourselves on providing a unique opportunity to practice high-acuity, hands-on procedural medicine within a structured, well-supported environment free from traditional hospital politics. You’ll join a tight-knit, hardworking team that includes 1 lead doctor, 1 skilled practice nurse, and 1 front-of-house receptionist.
The Role: Looking for a change of pace? We're looking for an experienced VR GP or Rural Generalist with an interest in urgent care to join us in a fantastic, sun-soaked location. Nestled along Queensland’s rapidly growing southern Sunshine Coast, Caloundra offers an enviable coastal lifestyle characterized by pristine beaches, family-friendly communities, and a thriving local culture. This role allows you to deliver timely, walk-in care that directly relieves pressure on busy regional emergency departments.
Why Caloundra?
· Coastal Lifestyle: Enjoy an enviable lifestyle characterized by pristine beaches, family-friendly communities, and a thriving local culture along the southern Sunshine Coast.
· Modern Facility: Practice in a newly established, fully equipped service focused on efficient walk-in urgent care.
· Impactful Practice: Engage in high-acuity, hands-on procedural medicine such as minor trauma management, fracture stabilization, and acute wound care.
The Perks:
· Excellent Pay Package: Around $387,140 per annum based on a full 1.0 FTE.
· Work-Life Balance: Enjoy predictable 8-hour daily shifts (specifically between 3:00 PM and 10:00 PM) with absolute peace of mind—no on-call commitments whatsoever, making it a particular win for rural generalists.
· Flexibility: Tailor your schedule to suit your lifestyle, with capacity ranging from part-time up to a full 1.0 FTE, including a degree of flexibility in your hours if required.
Skills & Experience:
· Registration: Current registration as a medical practitioner with AHPRA. FRACGP/FACRRM essential.
· Clinical Readiness: Demonstrated experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, general practice, or a related acute setting.
· Mandatory: Current Advanced Life Support Level 1 (ALS1) certification.
· Desirable: Advanced Life Support Level 2 (ALS2) certification.
