The Placement

Located 729km north-west of Sydney, 78km north of Walgett and 64km south of the Queensland border.

Ochre Medical Centre Lightning Ridge is a mixed-billing general practice operating Monday to Friday. The practice is co-located with Lightning Ridge Multipurpose Service, which provides emergency department care, acute inpatient services, aged care and community health services. Ochre is contracted by the Western NSW Local Health District to provide locum doctors to the hospital. On-call is shared across the VMO team, with your roster confirmed ahead of your block.

The Essentials

•         Fellowship with RACGP and/or ACRRM

•         Current AHPRA Specialist GP Registration

•         Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

•         Current ALS2 (or equivalent)

•         Recent emergency experience within the last 18 months
