The Opportunity
Dorrigo Health Campus, Registrar PGY4 + Emergency Medicine.
Dorrigo Multi-Purpose Service is a 27-bed facility with six inpatient beds, 21 aged care beds and a 24-hour Emergency Department. A limited range of community and allied health services are also available, including home care packages and ambulatory care services on an outreach basis from Coffs Harbour Health Campus.
$2000 for these blocks below:

PGY4 or greater with 6 months critical care experience (Emergency, Anaesthetics or ICU)
Must be confident working solo.
Back up:
Telehealth providing access to FACEMS at Coffs Harbour Health Campus 16 hours per day, 7 days per week.
Telehealth providing access to a Senior Registrar at Coffs Harbour Health Campus overnight, 7 nights per week.
Allowances:
Flights capped at $450 from Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane
Hire car capped at $50 per day
If driving own car can claim kms at approx $0.34c/km
Accommodation provided
ED COVERAGE:
* 24 hr coverage of ED from 0800-0800 (Weekdays)
* 24 hr coverage (Weekends/Public Holidays)
RAPID RESPONSE ON WARDS:
* 24 hr coverage of ED from 0800-0800 (Weekdays)
* 24 hr coverage (Weekends/Public Holidays)
CLINICAL REVIEW OF INPATIENTS/RESIDENTS IF REQUESTED BY NURSING STAFF:
* 24 hr coverage 0800 - 0800 (Weekends)
* Any time if requested by nursing staff (Weekends/Public
Holidays)
WARD ROUND OF INPATIENTS:
* Daily (Weekends/Public Holidays)
MEDICAL REVIEW OF RESIDENTS:
* Any time if requested by nursing staff Admission, examination,
medication charts (Weekends)
* Any time if requested by nursing staff (Weekends/Public

The Location
The Dorrigo Health Campus is in the township of Dorrigo, situated on the Dorrigo Plateau atop the escarpment of the Bellinger Valley. Super popular amongst locum emergency medicine Doctors due to this lifestyle on the Mid North Coast. The plateau is some 780 metres above sea level and forms part of the Great Dividing Range on the Mid North Coast.
Dorrigo services the plateau population of 2,787 and is surrounded by World Heritage National Parks and Wilderness Areas. Gondwana rainforest and the many waterfalls makes tourism a key industry on the plateau. The town provides a range of cafés, art galleries and boutique shops, as well as supermarkets, pharmacy, hotels and clubs. The city of Coffs Harbour on the coast is 61km to the east of Dorrigo.
