The opportunity
General Practitioners lend your care and experience to a lovely practice with an experienced multi-disciplinary team located on the rugged west coast. The medical centre serves a population of around 1600 registered patients plus casual visitors. With a dedicated, friendly support team providing a full range of general practice services to the community including aged care assistance and Rural Nurse Specialists providing 24-hour call cover for acute care.
The location
The South Island's West Coast is renowned for its stunning scenery and remarkable landscapes. Unlike anywhere else in New Zealand, the West Coast is an exciting location to explore and a must-see for Locum GPs in New Zealand. Spend your downtime cycling across the glacier country, join a Haast River Safari, explore the Charleston Glow Worm Caves or take a Sunday drive on the Great Coast Road - there is something for everyone on the West Coast.
Essential criteria
To apply for this position you must hold or be eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
