Opportunity

Boggabri offers a unique chance to practice comprehensive medicine. As the sole practice in town, you'll provide essential services ranging from everyday GP consultations to vital hospital-based emergency and inpatient care. Boggabri Medical Centre is situated in one wing of Boggabri Hospital. A 12-bed nursing home is also located within the same building, and our doctors provide essential on-call services to the hospital. The hospital features 4 acute and 12 long-stay beds, with the nearest referral hospital being a 90-minute drive away in Tamworth.

Location

Boggabri is a charming small town on the Kamilaroi Highway in north-western New South Wales, situated between Gunnedah and Narrabri. Boggabri offers a relaxed country lifestyle with local amenities including a nine-hole golf course, a Chinese restaurant, 'The Vault' fine dining, a bowling club and RSL Club (offering regular meat raffles, badge draws, and a courtesy bus)The town is known for its strong community spirit and hosts events like the popular Boggabri Drovers Campfire weekend.

Essential Criteria

·       Vocationally registered GP (FRACGP or FACRRM)

·       Recent ED experience in rural Communities

·       Current ALS2 (or equivalent) certificate.
