The opportunity

This clinic was established to provide urgent and after-hours healthcare services to the community and its visitors. Based at the hospital next to the Emergency Department, it is ideally located with access and the ability to transfer critical patients directly to the ED should the need arise.

The location

Located in a beautiful river city in the Manawatu-Whanganui district this town offers a historic centre full of great restaurants and bars, a growing arts and culture scene, and great sporting and recreational facilities. The region's population is around 12,000 giving you access to all the necessities and only a two-and-half-hour drive (45-minute scenic flight) to the capital city, Wellington. With educational and sporting facilities for all ages and stunning wilderness areas to explore including great access to the coast, beach walks, shopping, various museums and the Tararua ranges – there is plenty to see and do.
