The opportunity

The successful candidate will be working as a Locum GP in Cloncurry Hospital which provides rural and remote hospital services including an inpatient facility, a residential aged care facility, an emergency department and an outpatient department. A multidisciplinary model of care is implemented across the continuum with inpatient services supported by a medical superintendent. It offers 15 beds or bed alternatives. 

The location

'The Curry', as affectionately known by locals, is most famous for being the birthplace of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS). This little outback town is steeped in history, so one of the best things to do is to soak it all up and visit the museums and heritage trails that pay tribute to its past. Winning the Queensland's Friendliest Town award twice needless to say it is truly the known as the Friendly Heart of the Great North West.

Essential criteria

To be considered eligible for this role, you must must be a vocationally registered GP with rural and remote experience. Recent ALS2 or equivalent emergency certification is also essential.
