Locum Rural Generalist - St Marys, TAS

• East Coast of Tasmania - 10km from the beach
• $2K per day worked + travel + Doctor's house in centre of town

The Opportunity

Ongoing 7 day locum opportunities available July to December 2024.

You'll work as the solo Doctor in a nurse-led community health facility with 6 acute beds, 2 palliative care beds and a small ED. Mixture of General Practice consultations and ED presentations along with some support to the aged care facility.

The location

St Marys is a small township at the intersection of the Tasman Highway and the Esk Highway. Nestled between the ocean and mountains, this is a welcoming community of less than 1,000 locals. In town you'll find a craft gallery, bakery, a variety of shops and a supermarket as well as the 1916-built St Marys Hotel in the centre of town. 

Essential Criteria

You must be an experienced Rural Generalist with Specialist GP registration and recent emergency experience and certification (ALS2 or equivalent).
