The Location

Broken Hill is a historic outback city located in western New South Wales, known for its rich mining heritage and unique, rugged landscapes. Often referred to as the "Silver City," it was once a major hub for silver, lead, and zinc mining, and its striking, arid surroundings reflect its mining roots. The city offers a fascinating blend of old-world charm and modern amenities, with art galleries, museums, and cultural events celebrating its history and connection to the land. Broken Hill is also a gateway to some of Australia's most iconic outback destinations, including the nearby Mundi Mundi Plains and the Mutawintji National Park. With its warm, dry climate and a strong sense of community, Broken Hill is an ideal location for those looking to experience the remote beauty of the Australian outback while being part of a close-knit and welcoming community.
