About the position

You will be providing much-needed primary and acute healthcare to these unique communities. Prior experience working in remote locations and cultural awareness would be highly advantageous. Your work will be varied and require coverage of Mon-Fri 8:00am - 4:30pm working with other GPs. Due to the remoteness of this location on-call work is shared and often light. You will be well supported by excellent Remote Nurses and Aboriginal Health Workers. You will work in Bidyadanga, Beagle Bay & Broome.

About the location

Situated in the beautiful Kimberly region these small aboriginal communities range from 100 to 750 residents. Full of history, these sites have played a part in Australia's settlement history with the establishment of missions; but are now being managed by local Aboriginal corporations. In this great location, you will experience aboriginal art at its best. There is no denying the heat and the rich Ochre earth as these communities are located between the Great Sandy Desert and the Tanami Desert.

Essential criteria

• FACRRM/FRACGP or VR qualifications 
• Experience working within an Indigenous health
• Experience MMEx is desirable however not essential
• ALS 1 is desirable
