About the position:

The clinic operates under a nurse-led model, where the nursing staff play a key role in supporting GPs by conducting pre-screening and assisting with chronic disease reviews and care planning. Nurses and Aboriginal Health Practitioners (AHPs) provide advanced care following CARPA guidelines and collaborate closely with GPs to deliver comprehensive patient care. The GPs primarily see scheduled patients for planned care and those referred by the nurses and AHPs.

The clinic is open from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Nurses handle acute presentations and on-call duties, while GPs are not required to be on-call. In emergencies and acute cases during and after business hours, nursing staff utilize the NT Health medical deputising service (DMO on-call service). Patient evacuations to Royal Darwin Hospital are coordinated with CareFlight when necessary.

You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and other remote communities to ensure the delivery of high-quality, culturally appropriate care.
