The Position:
This clinic is seeking GPs with a passion for Indigenous health, who will be supported by other doctors, nurses, Aboriginal Health Workers, and visiting allied health professionals. The nearest emergency department is just 1 km away. Located approximately 3.5 hours south of Darwin, Katherine is renowned for its tropical climate and breathtaking landscapes, including gorges and waterfalls. With weekends off, you'll have ample time to explore the area, go bushwalking, take scenic flights over national parks, or unwind in the natural hot springs. The clinic uses Communicare software, offers 20-minute minimum consultations, and operates Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with no emergency department duties, on-call shifts, or weekend work required. Three weeks minimum.

MM6 location. This location qualifies for additional financial incentives through the Workforce Incentive Program (WIP). Essential criteria
- Holds specialist General Practitioner registration with AHPRA
- Fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM
- Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Strong primary care experience in rural or remote settings, ideally in Indigenous health
- Cultural awareness and understanding of the unique challenges facing remote Indigenous communities
