The Opportunity

This is an exciting locum opportunity for an experienced GP to provide comprehensive primary healthcare in a well-established not-for-profit Aboriginal Health organisation in Robinvale, Vic. You’ll work as part of a cohesive multi-disciplinary team including the ongoing GP, nurses, and Aboriginal Health Practitioners, all dedicated to improving health outcomes for the local community.

Working Monday to Friday from 08:30am – 17:00pm, there is no emergency department duties, on-call shifts or weekend work required. Seeing an average of 15 clients per day, standard consultation times are 20 minutes to provide support for the complex needs. A minimum of two weeks in required and Communicare software is in use. As for the service, it provides a diverse range of programs from childcare, kindergarten, health, medical, well-being, housing and aged care for the Aboriginal people in Robinvale.

Essential criteria

·        Fellowship with RACGP and/or ACRRM

·        Current AHPRA Specialist GP Registration

·        Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

·        Experience in rural or remote primary care, ideally Indigenous health

·        Cultural awareness and respect for Aboriginal communities
