Locum VR GP AMS - Tropical Queensland (Multiple locations)

The opportunity

Provide primary health care in a remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health between its fours Clinics You will be working alongside another experienced VR GP and a diverse multi-disciplinary team including Aboriginal support workers. Working Monday to Friday, No-On call or weekends work.

 

This role offers the opportunity to use the skills and knowledge you may not have in an urban setting, with high presentations of Chronic Illness, GPs need to be both sensitive and understanding to continue encouraging community members to come in for treatment.

The location

Situated in the Gulf of Carpentaria and Outback Queensland, these towns are known for their historic buildings, many species of wildlife, and well-developed, successful yet isolated Aboriginal communities.
