Locum VR GP - Cassowary Coast Region

• $1800 paid daily plus travel, car and accomm
• 21 Oct – 29 Nov & 16 Dec – 3 Jan *2 weeks minimum is preferred
• Monday to Friday with no on-call or weekend work

The Opportunity

Assisting this private practice Monday to Friday between 08:00am – 16:30pm, there are no on-call or weekend requirements. Working alongside the part-time nurse and with reception support, there is a requirement to participate in GPMP / Care Plans. Around 65% of presentations are those over 70 and 10% being indigenous health. Standard appointment times are 15 minutes but can be longer if required and Best Practice software is in use.

With cover required across the 21 Oct – 29 Nov & 16 Dec – 3 Jan, 2 weeks minimum is preferred and $1800 paid daily. Flight, car and accommodation support is also then provided. 

The Location

Located in a friendly rural town, the facility is very accessible. It is near the jetty, coffee shops, restaurants and cafes. The town is two hours south of Cairns and two hours north of Townsville. You can do a lot of exciting activities while in town, such as visiting parks and waterfalls, exploring the rainforests and enjoy a fun hiking trail.

Essential Criteria

To be eligible for the role, you must have a specialist registration with AHPRA and fellowship with RACGP.
