The Position

Join the leading rural practice in the region for a locum where you will be working with a permanent full-time GP. With 15-minute standard consultation times, you'll work from 8.30am - 5pm Monday – Friday with the clinic closed for an hour across lunch each day. There is a fair percentage of chronic disease in the population of around 2.5k, but many young families also require primary care. There is full-time nursing support as well as allied health services. $1400 is paid daily and it is primarily a bulk-billing clinic. Cover to be provided in the GP clinic and assist with the weekly nursing home round where possible.

The Location

Situated on the shores of Wedge Bay, this town is a commercial fishing port and a busy recreational fishing base for locals. With its plentiful accommodation options, beautiful beaches, and landscapes, the area becomes a haven for holidaymakers in the warmer months. Take the road to Port Arthur and enjoy the winding 15-minute drive through farming country and tall forests. Gin and whiskey connoisseurs can stop off the renowned William McHenry & Sons distillery for a drop of the finest on the way.
