Locum VR GP - Cooma

• $1200 paid daily plus travel & accommodation
• Monday to Friday in the GP Clinic (9am – 5pm)
• 1 Jun – 16 June | 17 Jul – 22 July

The Opportunity

Ochre Medical Centre Cooma, is a clinic that prides itself on the high level of care provided to the residents of the region and they offer a range of services including Skin Checks, Minor Procedures, Women’s Health, Antenatal Care, Mental Health and Chronic Disease Management as well as a range of Immunisations.

 

Servicing a population of 7519, the clinic boasts 11 permanent doctors when nobody is on leave. It is a mixed billings clinic with a focus on teaching and training, though as a locum you will not be required to provide

any supervision. This clinic has an opportunity for a dedicated GP to assist over winter, paying $1200 daily, using best practice software & offering 15-minute standard consultation times.

 

The Location

As the largest town in the Snowy Mountain region, Cooma is the gateway to the Snowy Mountains ski fields which are only 1hr away. You will find so many activities to enjoy such as gorge walks, horse riding, fishing, bike trails, mountain biking, the Snowy Mountains Hydro Electricity Scheme, and the Kosciuszko National Park.

 

Central to the town's attractions are the Snowy Hydro Information Centre; the Centennial Park which celebrates the town's historic multiculturalism; the excellent historic walk and the fascinating Correctional Services Gaol Museum; as well as many fabulous coffee houses/eateries.

To be eligible for this position you must be a VR GP with full Australian working rights.
