The opportunity

This is a rewarding locum opportunity in Echuca, a vibrant riverside community on the Murray River. You’ll join a supportive Aboriginal Medical Service, working with a collaborative team of five GPs, nurses, and Aboriginal Health Workers to deliver comprehensive, culturally safe healthcare.

Appointments are set at a minimum of 20 minutes, with longer bookings available for chronic care and health plans. The clinic uses Best Practice software. Hours are Monday to Thursday, 8:30am–4:30pm, and Friday 8:30am–4:00pm, with no after-hours, on-call or weekend work required. Mileage reimbursement is provided at the ATO rate, and accommodation is included.

Essential criteria

• Fellowship with RACGP and/or ACRRM
• Current AHPRA Specialist GP Registration
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Experience in Aboriginal health desirable
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity in Aboriginal health contexts
